AS200240

Overview

AS200240 is a private autonomous system operated primarily for research, network engineering experiments, and infrastructure learning. The network maintains an open peering policy and is generally willing to establish peering sessions with networks that share a common Internet Exchange Point (IXP) or through mutually agreed tunnel-based interconnections.

Peering Requirements

AS200240 uses PeeringDB as the authoritative source of operational information. All potential peers must maintain an accurate and up-to-date PeeringDB record before a peering session can be established.

To ensure routing security and operational stability, AS200240 follows common industry best practices for BGP operations, including:

• Valid and properly maintained IRR route objects or AS-SET.
• Accurate prefix limits published in PeeringDB.
• RPKI validation for all announced prefixes.
• Implementation of standard BGP filtering policies.

Information obtained from PeeringDB, IRR databases, and RPKI validators may be used to automatically filter routes received from BGP sessions.

Operational Policies

To maintain network stability and service quality, AS200240 reserves the right to apply the following operational policies:

• Reject prefixes that fail RPKI validation or have invalid IRR data.
• Accept or decline peering requests at its sole discretion.
• Temporarily withdraw prefixes from public IXP fabrics when necessary.
• Modify routing policies to mitigate abuse, routing leaks, or DDoS attacks.
• Terminate peering sessions at any time if operational issues occur.
